Current release 2026/05 introduces enhancements focused on operational efficiency. New additions include multi-frame-rate support, allowing broadcasters to manage content and schedules using different video standards within a single PROVYS Sphere installation while maintaining strict separation and validation across workflows. The release also expands sports capabilities through automated live sports scheduling and direct SportRadar integration, enabling more efficient planning, improved schedule accuracy, and reduced manual effort.
The release further improves everyday usability with Quick Links in the web client, allowing users to save and share frequently used views, filters, and layouts to streamline collaboration and accelerate common tasks.
Timestamps for approvals, workflow actions, and system processes are now displayed in each user’s local time zone, providing greater clarity for organizations operating across multiple regions.
Multiple frame rates
PROVYS Sphere supports multiple video frame rate standards within a single installation. This major enhancement enables operations using different frame rates, such as NTSC 29.97 fps and PAL 25 fps, to coexist within a shared system while keeping content libraries fully separated and protected from cross-frame-rate errors.
Each channel is configured with its own frame-rate standard. Only content matching that standard can be scheduled on the channel.
Frame-rate information is visible in lists and object details. Timecodes belonging to different frame rate standards clearly indicate their context, making the active standard immediately identifiable.
Versions with a mismatching frame rate are excluded from scheduling suggestions, and manual selection is prevented.
Integration between PROVYS Sphere and the sport data providers like SportRadar API enables broadcasters to import sport competitions (series, seasons) and match schedules (programs) directly into their broadcasting management workflows.

Supported sports include football, basketball, ice hockey, and volleyball. Data on teams, venues, participants, records, and more is automatically created. The import is multilingual with built listing objects and EPG translations per language.

Automatic scheduling of live sports
A pilot for automated live transmission scheduling in PROVYS Sphere has been successfully delivered. A third-party rule-based optimization engine is integrated via ServerAPI to intelligently assign live transmissions to channels based on program metadata (genre, priority, preferred channels, and more). It supports repeated optimizer runs to refresh or adjust the schedule.
Timestamps and confirmation attributes presented in local time zone
Date-time values that represent the moment an action actually occurred, e.g. when a task was issued, a workflow step was activated, or a document was approved, are now displayed in each user’s own local time zone.
Users can see their current active time zone in the application’s main window, change it on demand via Administration → Change Timezone, and the system automatically applies the correct offset everywhere – in lists, detail screens, reports, and workflow objects. This improvement is useful not only for multi-time-zone clients but also for clients using PROVYS Sphere deployed on cloud servers.
Automatic inventory merge synchronization after As-Run import
The As-Run import process can now automatically confirm and synchronize inventory merge when automatic pairing completes with no unmatched items, eliminating the need for manual confirmation. If any unmatched or unresolved items remain, automatic synchronization is skipped and the inventory merge stays available for standard manual review and processing.
These functional enhancements come alongside a wide range of stability, performance, and platform improvements across the system.
