In today’s world, where broadcast, business, and IT are increasingly intertwined, ensuring your systems can communicate is critical. PROVYS is well-prepared in this regard – offering a wide range of integration options with other tools in your ecosystem.
Ready-Made Integrations
We start with a suite of ready-made integrations using fixed and documented formats. These include migration imports for quickly populating a new instance with essential data, such as titles or materials. For broadcast operations, we offer imports and exports in BXF format – a standard designed specifically for the television industry. This makes it easy to export playlists, import as-run logs, or bring in content.
Business Process Support
We also provide imports and exports to support business processes – for example, exporting commercial breaks, importing spots to fill those breaks, or tracking music used in individual titles.
Flexible Import Types
Behind these capabilities are nearly forty configurable import types. Data can come in XML, JSON, Excel, or delimited text formats. Column transformations can be coded, and all integration runs are logged. This enables use cases such as importing commercial breaks, QC results, or exchange rates. Integrations can be run from the client, scheduled as periodic jobs, or invoked via API.
ServerAPI – Unlimited Integration Possibilities
If you need even more flexibility, we offer the ServerAPI – a generic API that opens up virtually limitless integration possibilities. It supports not only import/export execution, but also direct manipulation of objects: filtering, viewing properties, and performing create, update, or delete operations. By tracking changes to objects, it can power incremental interfaces or trigger workflows in connected systems.
Secure External Data Access with Outgress Gateway
When accessing data stored outside PROVYS, we use a component called Outgress Gateway. This provides unified access to data via protocols such as FTPS, Samba, AWS S3, or HTTPS using either SOAP or REST. For cloud deployments, this can be complemented by the Outgress Gateway Proxy Service – a secure bridge connecting PROVYS in the cloud with your on-premise data providers.
Exports and Reports
Integration with the outside world can also happen via user workstations. Every list screen in the system can be exported in various formats. With tools like Grid Set, Filter Set, or Stored Query, users can define reusable export templates. And for integrating with humans (yes, they still matter), we can generate polished printed reports using the FastReport library – complete with summaries, charts, or QR codes. These can be generated periodically and sent automatically when certain conditions are met – such as when tomorrow’s promotions are still missing their materials.
We Build the Bridges – You Cross Them
In short, whether you’re looking to connect PROVYS with an ERP system, automate data flows across departments, or simply generate eye-catching reports, we have the tools. Even better – we have the people who can help. Get in touch – together we’ll find the right way to fit PROVYS smoothly into your infrastructure.
